WST Application

Prospective Students for the 23-24 School Year:

We are still accepting applications for the Maritime Academy Program located in Port Townsend. All other programs are filled for the 23-24 school year. We are no longer accepting applications for waitlists. 

Applications are open for our 2023 summer program. 

Please read below for information on the West Sound Tech Summer Program and the Peninsula Summer Satellite Academy. 

Eligibility: Classes are open to all students entering 9th through 12th grade for the 2023-2024 school year. 

West Sound Tech Summer Program

Earn a 0.5 CTE Elective credit. Enrollment is free with breakfast and lunch provided at no cost. Classes are In-Person daily with additional work to complete at home. Students must have their own transportation to and from campus as school district provided bus service is not guaranteed. 

Dates: June 26 - July 14 , 2023 (No school July 3rd & 4th)

Location: 101 National Avenue N. , Bremerton, WA 98312

Time: Monday through Friday - 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Peninsula Summer Satellite Academy

Dates: July 10 - 27th, 2023 (Worksite Learning option is available from 6/22 to 8/31, 2023)

Time: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM 

Location: Peninsula High School 

4105 Purdy Drive NW, Gig Harbor, WA

Earn a 0.5 CTE credit. Enrollment is free with breakfast and lunch provided at no cost. Classes are In-Person daily. Transportation will be available for students living within the Peninsula School District boundaries.

Sports Medicine: Personal Trainer

Worksite Learning - Peninsula School District Students Only (Flexible Hours and times between 6/22-8/31. Students must register by 6/15. Students must complete 180 hours of documented work experience to earn credit. To qualify for worksite learning, students must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in a business course, like CCFE. Training Agreements and Learning Plans signed by the student, work based learning coordinator, employer, and parent are required for registration to be approved. Agreements and Plans must be submitted to before the student's application can be processed. For questions about Worksite learning, please contact

Before applying New Applicants will need to create an SMAPPLY Account

For those who already have an SMAPPLY Account - Once logged in -  Click the "Programs" Tab at the right hand top of the screen, in grey to apply

If signing into SMAPPLY on a mobile device, the programs tab maybe accessed through the three bars icon in the upper left hand corner.

Returning Student Priority Registration Period  - This registration period has ended

January 24, 2023 (8:00 AM) to March 1, 2023 

 - New Student Registration Period  

OPENS March 6, 2023 (8:00 AM)

Applications will be processed according to the timestamp and date of their submission through April 1, 2023. After April 1, applications are processed based on the timestamp and date of the Counselor Review submission. 

Application Instructions 

Create an SMAPPLY account:

Click the green Register button. Do not use a school or work email to create an SMAPPLY account. Use a personal email for either the student or the parent/guardian.

You will be asked to verify your email before proceeding. If you do not get a verification email, check your junk mail. If you have any issues verifying your email, you can still fill out an application but you will need to call 360-473-0057 to submit the application.

Once in your SMAPPLY account, under "Programs", select the application you would like to fill out. 

Click the green APPLY button

Under "Your Tasks" click "WST Year Long Application Form" 

There are 5 sections in the Application Form. Fill out completely

Click the green "Mark as Complete" (but you are not done, yet!)

IMPORTANT! On the next page - Click  "SUBMIT"

After clicking "Submit", your application has been completed. 

You will see this message when your application has been submitted:

"Application Submitted. Thank you for submitting your application."

What to expect after submitting -

After you submit your application, return to your account dashboard and verify that the status of your application reads "Submitted." 

If your application has not been submitted your status will read  "Application in Process - Please Complete and Submit"

After you submit, your application will go into Counselor Review. This means your sending school counseling office is reviewing your request to enroll in West Sound Tech. 

Your counselor will approve or deny your application. 

If your application is denied in this stage, you will receive an email from this website notifying you of their decision. 

If your application is approved in this stage, your application will move on to INTERNAL REVIEW

In Internal Review, your application will be reviewed by West Sound Tech for counselor approval and if there is space in your requested programs. 

Once processed, you will receive a decision through email to the account email address, parent email, AND student email listed in the application.
